Camperdown is a home away from home. This stunning Tudor- style
house, and small working farm with sheep and cows has been
offering the warmest of welcomes for 10years...Camperdown is situated
at the end of a long drive, off the Coatesville Highway.(S.H.28).
Here you are likely to be met by Sam, the dog, closely followed
by Chris or Dave Hempleman whose friendliness and typical kiwi
hospitality will put you instantly at ease.
Our guest accommodation area is the upper level of our home
with views over the gardens and to surrounding hills.All rooms
are generous and cosy, offering many additional home comforts.There
are 4 bedrooms, with various combinations.(King, queen or twin)
private bathrooms. A delightful guest lounge offering T.V/sky,
stereo. Tea and coffee facilities.
Stroll amongst our beautiful garden, down to a hideaway stream
flowing through native rain forest to a small lake. This peaceful
haven is a joy at the end of a busy travel day.
Camperdown is an excellent base from which to discover some
of the history and activities of the North Island. Discover
vineyards, wine tasting boutiques, Muriwai beach and Gannet
colony, Waitakere ranges, horse riding and bush walking to name
a few.
However
you choose to spend your day, returning to Camperdown to a pre-arranged
evening meal, a barbeque, or dinner at one of the local recommended
restaurants, you will be rewarded with a great nights sleep
and wake up to the sound of birds, a hearty breakfast with delicious
home made jams, and local fruits.
